Ontonagon State Trunkline Changes 2006

With the completion of the new Ontonagon River bridge in the Village of Ontonagon in October 2006, several state trunkline changes ocurred. The map below illustrates those changes. US-45 remained largely as-is, whereas M-64 was diverted to use the new bridge and now terminates at US-45 south of that highway's previous junction with M-38. M-38 itself was also diverted along the newly-constructed eastern approach to the new bridge, terminating at US-45 where it meets M-64 coming from the west.
